62aab06e0a5bd79c2a2d591e823fad3fb5b3af9def31adba339c9c4e86071bf6 notes Land within an established residential area in Seaton Sluice, that was occupied by a commercial garage but is now vacant following earlier clearance of the workshops. Opportunity recognised to provide a small infill scheme, potentially at a slightly higher yield, reflecting the setting and surrounding housing. An initial outline permission for an apartment block following clearance of the garage was granted but lapsed (06/00136/OUT). It was after this that the site was cleared. This was necessary following a fire that rendered the structures dangerous, A revised proposal was later made for 5 three-bed terraced houses, but despite being approved this similarly lapsed (14/00679/FUL). The immediate availability of the site is uncertain. It is considered to still have potential in the longer-term, but residential development is forecast later in the plan period. 2020-12-17
85f02862138ff27a4a779f1d8c63b124ee82d98f3d4f696495a9934e5085bd43 notes Vacant site within the settlement that was occupied by an industrial building that was cleared a number of years ago. Permission for 5 three-bed terraced houses lapsed due to non-implementation (14/00679/FUL). There still could be opportunity in the medium-term for residential development and a slightly higher yield is indicated, appropriate given the setting and surrounding residential development. Prior to the above, an earlier outline consent for an apartment scheme also lapsed (B/06/00136/OUT). 2019-12-17
b6b159ffcaa47ed5b31e95d0cf456159f65fd21f28fe7e1ac9ec7f943df3a206 notes Previous planning permission lapsed for revised scheme of 5 three-bed terraced houses - 14/00679/FUL. Earlier outline consent for apartment scheme lapsed unimplemented - B/06/00136/OUT. Previous planning permission for 5 homes now lapsed. Delivery of a scheme is currently considered uncertain but it is anticipated that it is likely to be a developed in the medium-term. Until housebuilding commences, the site will remain on the BF Register. Indicative yield reflects a slightly higher yield, appropriate given the setting and surrounding residential development. https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/NorthumberlandCountyCouncil/media/Planning-and-Building/planning%20policy/Studies%20and%20Evidence%20Reports/Housing%20Studies/1.%20SHLAA/Appendix-G-SHLAA-Sites-Summary-Assessment-Schedule.pdf 2018-12-31
c467fa4af3e697400676fd2951cecea23a5176717a8626cea039023f9be2f3ba notes Land within an established residential area in Seaton Sluice that was occupied by a commercial garage but is now vacant following earlier clearance of the workshops. Opportunity recognised to provide a small infill scheme, potentially at a slightly higher yield, reflecting the setting and the character of surrounding residential development. An initial outline permission for an apartment block of 10 flats following clearance of the garage was granted in many years ago in 2006 (B/06/00136/OUT). It was after this that the site was cleared. This was necessary as a priority following a fire that rendered the structures dangerous. No work was carried out on the residential development, and a revised proposal for 5 dwellings was then approved in 2014 (14/00679/FUL). The new scheme was for 3-bed terraced houses rather than flats. However, similarly, this permission also lapsed. There has been no recent update from the landowner and no further proposals for redevelopment in the intervening years. Therefore, the immediate availability of the site is uncertain. It is considered that there is still potential for redevelopment, but given the uncertainty around immediate availability, this is forecast later in the plan period (11-15 years). 2020-12-17
