| Description | Article 4 Direction: Beacon Hill Commercial Area, Hindhead (A4D-32) was made by Waverley Borough Council on 2 August 2022 under the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015. The Direction withdrew permitted development rights under Part 3 for changes of use to residential (Class C3), specifically: from launderettes, betting offices, payday loan shops, hot food takeaways, or mixed use with a dwelling (Class M); from offices (B1a) (Class O); from storage and distribution (B8) (Class P); from light industrial (B1c) (Class PA); and from commercial, business and service uses (Class E) (Class MA). By withdrawing these rights, the Council ensured that conversions of commercial and employment premises to housing in Beacon Hill required full planning permission, protecting the vitality and function of the local centre. | Facts |
