Description Article 4 Direction: Godalming Station Commercial Area and The Old Mill Business Park, Godalming (A4D-31) was made by Waverley Borough Council on 2 August 2022 under the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015. The Direction for the Godalming Station Commercial Area withdrew rights under Part 3 for changes of use to residential (Class C3) from offices (B1a); from storage and distribution (B8); from light industrial (B1c); and from commercial, business and service uses (Class E). By withdrawing these rights, the Council ensured that the conversion of commercial premises to housing at both sites required full planning permission, supporting the protection of local employment space and town centre vitality.
