| Description | Article 4 Direction: Land at Horsham Road, Alfold (A4D-20) was made by Waverley Borough Council on 19 December 2001 under the Town and Country Planning General Development Order 1995. The Direction removed permitted development rights for the use of land as a caravan site in specified circumstances and for works required by the conditions of a caravan site licence. It also restricted the erection of gates, fences, and walls and the temporary use of land for up to 28 days in a year. A subsequent Direction further tightened controls by re-confirming restrictions on gates, fences and walls and specifying that temporary land uses could not include more than 14 days of markets or motor vehicle racing activities within the 28-day limit. By withdrawing these rights, the Council ensured that caravan-related uses, boundary treatments, and temporary activities — particularly markets and motor sports — at Horsham Road required express planning permission. | Facts |
