An application for alteration and conversion of the listed farm buildings to create 5 dwellings was permitted in 2020 (19/03490/FUL). The proposed works also included demolition of modern barns and extension to an existing unoccupied cottage (no net gain from this aspect). The landowner set out that a phased development was envisaged, based on owners ability to afford and finance build-out. However, no start was made on the works within the necessary timeframe and the permission has now lapsed. Due to the location in the Green Belt, at the current time the site is not considered suitable for residential development.
