0b141e418a9773e1f8cc7c38dcbc17443b24ff7c9c61319fd3edc74304ca86e9 notes Former school site that has been declared surplus following closure in 2011. The school buildings have already been demolished and the site cleared in readiness for redevelopment, enabled by an earlier approval (13/01267/DEMGDO). As well as footprint of the school buildings and infrastructure, the wider site includes former playing fields. An application for development of 66 homes was submitted in 2016 (16/03954/FUL). This remains pending, although progress continues, notably with the scheme being recently amended to propose an increased yield of 71 homes. Brownfield land (0.61ha) represents around 25% of the site area - a yield of around 16 dwellings can be calculated based on methodological approach. For indicative purposes in the BF Register, the original SHLAA site (ref 5059) is split to reflect brownfield and greenfield elements - total area of 2.39ha. Currently considered developable until further progress is made in the planning process (6-10 years). Deliverability and yield will be reappraised if the current application is permitted. Identified as a preferred allocation in the Reg.19 Local Plan (submitted May 2019). NB - the proposed allocation is for an indicative 66 homes (see above). 2021-12-17
