The regeneration of Shoreham Harbour has been a long term aspiration and and the redevelopment of the Western Harbour Arm is recognised as a priority for the Shoreham Harbour Partnership. The principle of redeveloping this site for a residential use is consistent with adopted Joint Area Action Plan policies. A planning application was submitted during the SHLAA monitoring period for 45 residential units (AWDM/1481/21) and was subsequently refused at Adur planning committee on 15.09.2022. A revised planning application was validated on 9th December 2022 for 45 residential units and was refused at Adur Planning Committee on 6th March 2023. The application has been allowed at planning appeal (8th December 2023). S.106 signed on 16.11.2023. Proposed mixed-use re-development between 3 and 8 storeys comprising of 21 townhouses, mixed-use apartment block of 24 flats, commercial unit, riverside walk, play area, landscaping, and parking (with revised design and provision of on-site affordable housing)..
