Site previously occupied by a housing development but now largely vacant following the clearance of a large area of social housing stock. Isolated dwellings remain, those in private ownership, but this represents a very small proportion of the original estate. The land is still in the ownership of a registered provider and the scope for regeneration with replacement homes remains. Recently confirmed it is not intended to develop this site at present, as it is not required to meet current and/or future requirements for social housing in South East Northumberland at the moment. This position will be reviewed as and when necessary, and the conclusion could change in the longer-term if additional sites are required, but no residential development is forecast within the plan period at present.
