Mixed site within the urban area which is currently occupied by office units and 2 bungalows, with the remainder being taken up for car parking. Once the existing buildings are cleared there should be no impediment to delivery of an urban infill scheme. There is known interest in taking forward a scheme for the site, potentially providing extra-care facilities and/or affordable homes. A redevelopment proposal will involve demolition of 2 existing dwellings but, once the new-build element is complete, an overall net gain will result. Recently confirmed that the site is available and work is progressing on proposals for a future housing scheme. Currently considered developable later in the plan period. The site is identified as a preferred allocation in the draft Local Plan (submitted May 2019).
