Within an established residential area. An initial outline application for residential development was submitted in 2004 (B/04/00644/OUT). The S106 was never signed for this. Despite this, a reserved matters application for 48 homes were then allowed on appeal in 2007 (B/06/00225/FUL). This scheme comprised of 33 flats, 9 terraced houses, 4 detached houses and 2 bungalows. Although later extended, this permission lapsed (10/S/00290/VARYCO). Redevelopment remains an opportunity for urban infill,. The high density identified considered to reflect the setting and likely proposals for an apartment/flatted scheme. The immediate availability of the site is uncertain. It is considered to still have potential in the longer-term, but residential development is forecast later in the plan period.
