Site that had operating as a haulage years since the 1950s but is has now been vacant since the business ceased trading in 2009. Premises comprises of a number of semi-derelict traditional stone buildings and areas of hardstanding. Identified for redevelopment, with clearance and remediation required prior to an infill scheme progressing. An initial application for demolition of the remaining workshops and outbuildings and construction 4 cottages was permitted in 2016 (15/03380/FUL). A revised proposal was then submitted and approved, which increased the yield to 5 homes (18/01897/FUL). This supersedes an earlier consent for 4 homes following clearance.
