Sides of chest have angle pilasters and pilasters in middle of long sides. Worn decorative panels between. Top has rounded edge, broad chamfer and flat top. Chamfered west end has coat of arms flanked by date 1738 in high relief letters. Worn inscription around edge. Inscriptions on top include James Davison of Lanton who departed this life March ye 27th 1767 aged 101 years. , | Facts |
