Notes NU 0139 LOWICK CHEVIOT VIEW 13/89 Presbyterian Church of Scotland GV II Presbyterian church. Dated 1821, restored 1878. For the Reverend Israel Craigs, Minister. Scored stucco with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. Rusticated quoins. 4 bays. Left 3 bays have tall round-headed windows with raised surrounds and mid-C19 glazing bars. Datestone above. Right bay has 16-pane sash in raised surround on ground floor. Formerly similar window on 1st floor is now a C20 door with fire escape. Hipped roof. 2-leaf, 6-panelled door to rear in pedimented stone porch. 16-pane sash above and 2-light window to right with Geometric tracery. Interior has Victorian east gallery on cast-iron columns and font dated LOWICK 1783. , Facts
