Notes | DENWICK HULNE PARK NU 11 NE NU 152152 6/61 Farmbuilding group at East Brizlee, with attached walls II Foldyard group of farmbuildings, with yard walls. Mid-C19. Buildings tooled- and-margined stone, with Welsh slate roofs; walls squared stone. Ranges around yard opening to south. North range 1 + 2 storeys, 2 + 4 + 2 bays. Chamfered plinth. Open elliptical arcade with raised keystones and stop-chamfered jambs; taller centre section has slatted loft windows with slightly-projecting sills, and pedimented gable ends enclosing circular eyes. Side ranges each 1 storey, 2 + 3 + 1 bays; taller central part with pair of blind slits; boarded and stable doors, some blind doorways; inserted cart entrances with timber lintels in single bays adjacent to north range. Roofs hipped to south. South end of each side range has keyed elliptical arch flanked by loops, enclosing narrow boarded door between small windows. Rear elevation of north range shows boarded double doors, stone stair to boarded loft door and slatted loft windows. Rear elevation of east range: central section has projecting centre bay with keyed elliptical arch on imposts, enclosing narrow boarded door between small windows,under open- pedimented gable with circular eye; end sections each have central pair of keyed elliptical arches flanked by doorways, all blind. , | Facts |
