Notes | FELTON RIVERSIDE NU 1800 (West end) 12/121 Bridge over Back Burn 20 metres east of Park Lodge, with attached railings GV II Bridge and railings, late C18. Good-quality squared stone; wrought iron. Single segmental arch with recessed voussoirs, with band above and flanking pilasters; pilasters have domed niches above and below band; end pilasters with single niches; flat-coped parapet. On west end of each parapet is an openwork box-section wrought-iron pier, with palmette panels and central moulded urn finial, each flanked by 4 smaller urns; attached to each a short length of railing extends east along the parapet, with spearhead bars and a top rail ramped down and Hiding in a scroll. To south of southern pier is a short length of similar railing. , | Facts |
