Notes | HARBOTTLE HARBOTTLE VILLAGE NT 9304 (North side) 26/60 Harbottle C.E. Aided First School GV II School, inscribed 1834 National School. Ashlar with Welsh slate roof. Single storey, 7 bays with projecting cross-gabled 3-bay centre. 2-leaf, 4-panel doors, with chamfered surrounds and segmental lintels, in 2nd and 6th bays. Outer bays have 2-light windows with segmental heads to lights, and hoodmoulds. Centre section has similar 3-light windows. All but one of the stone mullions have been replaced by wood. Gabled roof with kneelers, ridged coping and 5 corniced octagonal chimneys, 2 ridge, 2 end and one above cross gable. Included for historical interest. , | Facts |
