Notes Part of the former Seghill Colliery site, although this parcel of land has been vacant for many years. There is a complex planning history to this site, with proposals for redevelopment going back a number of years. An initial outline application for 7 dwellings was secured in 2014 (11/00791/OUT). Construction of a residential scheme was then started, despite detailed permission not having been approved. A retrospective reserved matters application for construction of 5 dwellings was finally permitted in 2019 (19/01893/REM). This was necessary, despite the scheme being underway. Completion is forecast with the next 5 years. The overall development is for 8 homes, with three other dwellings permitted on a plot-by-plot basis (plots 1, 7 & 8).
