Notes Former school site, surplus vacant and available following closure in 2012, comprising of schools buildings and adjacent playing fields. The vacant buildings have stood in situ since closure, gradually deteriorating into a state of disrepair. Demolition of these premises would be required prior to redevelopment. The brownfield element representing around half of the overall site (0.41 ha) - yield of around 12 dwellings was previously calculated based on methodological approach. For indicative purposes in the BF Register, the original SHLAA site (ref 6950) is split to reflect brownfield and greenfield elements - total area of 0.79 ha. An application for demolition of the school building and replacement with of 24 homes was refused in October 2018 (17/03894/FUL). This proposal related to both the brownfield and greenfield areas of the site. It has recently been confirmed that this site is no longer available for a housing scheme. No future residential development is now forecast from the site. Facts
