Notes A small former commercial garage site that has been vacant since closure in 2006. The existing workshop building has since deteriorated and is now derelict. Offers a good opportunity for infill development within central Blyth. The yield identified reflects the setting and likelihood of a high density flatted development in an urban environment. A previous consent for demolition and redevelopment for 5 flats was submitted in 2008 and remained under consideration for a number of years before being permitted in 2013 (B/08/00185/FUL). However, the permission lapsed due to non-implementation. There has been no recent proposal for redevelopment of the site, and no update from the landowner, so the current availability of the site is somewhat uncertain. Any development is likely to be in the longer-term (11 to 15 years). Facts
